The Cameroon won the first place in the category "Encouraging Road Safety"

Health & Safety at CIMENCAM is a fundamental value. It was set up in 2006 by Lafarge in all its units in response to a serious accident rate too high. Since its launch, remarkable progress has been made in all company sites. Today CIMENCAM has an accident frequency rate to 0 off on its sites. All actions of progress and maintaining the current rates converge to a single goal: to develop a so-called real culture of interdependence. Each employee has at heart his own health & safety, but also that of colleagues.

For 6 years, the Group reaffirms the priority of the Health & Safety in the Month of Health & Safety, become a tradition at Lafarge. From May to June, each unit organizes events and activities during which employees show their commitment and compete for creativity. The goal of « this campaign is to involve employees, educate, raise their pride and thus to advance their level of maturity in terms of Health and Safety. »

For the edition of 2014, the Group has chosen a strong theme: "my actions, my impact: our progress," a call for continued commitment to the continuation of our efforts to maintain our level of maturity. This year, as every year, the competition was launched around three qualities: engaged, open, demanding. In this regard, the Group had the desire to "encourage individuals to take personal and implement concrete actions to always excel in Health and Safety. "The theme hung, the enthusiasm of employees was visible. To encourage participation, the group placed the team in the competition running of the center and it excited and aroused vocations director, photographer and editor to demonstrate that we are committed, open and demanding. The competition was organized in two phases: a phase of realization of photo novels and a video showing step into sounds and images preliminary work.

Ousmanou Fewou and his team participated in the competition in the category Promoting Road Safety. The Transportation Security team performed in the video, is staged by identifying various dangerous situations, engaging in dialogue with individuals to discuss the identified risk and by being demanding by providing corrective actions. The document is simple, responsible and eloquent. That's why the Transportation Security Team Cameroon hoisted on top of the podium of the Contest Health & Safety Month 2014.

Congratulations! Remain committed, open and uncompromised.
